Our ideas power the machines of the present and empower the minds of the future.

Why do we believe VF plays a major role in feeding 9 billion people by 2050? At the core, technological advancements precede all other advancements. This is fundamental to our project and determines how we address the challenge of feeding 9 billion people in 2050. Our health is most strongly connected to our diet–”we are what we eat”–so creating a “hands on” environment for all members of the community to more strongly connect to the food they produce and consume is, in our view, the most important aspect of the global challenge.

Since there are few VF companies in Alberta, our goal as a team is to collect data from a large variety of sources. As such, we will be engaging with professors, engineers, farmers, marketing coordinators, scientists, architects, and many more figures on our journey to design a successful VF program in Calgary.

To see the specifics of how we will accomplish this goal, take a look at our Team Charter, which highlights our project Design, operations, and project Timeline.
